Wow ! What a day! One April afternoon, a huge truck pulls up
front of the Rescue Center, the Safari Balls had arrived! I called up my volunteers, Dave & Carrie Sanders, they so kindly
donated the balls to the rescue, and they arrived shortly after to help put them in the cages for the tigers.
We were so excited to see what the tigers were going to do when
they saw the balls, new toys are a good thing! It is called enrichment, and helps the cats from being bored in their enclosures.
We try to rotate toys for them, and they of course have to be BIG TOYS! We have barrels, tires, bowling balls, and large spools
for them, and now the safari balls. We take some out of the cages and then a week later reintroduce the toys, its like a new
one everytime.
